One of the most frustrating things for me to deal with so far with soap making has been the use of colorants. More specifically, color blocks.
All the instructions I've seen about their use says to melt your soap base then chop pieces off the block and mix them into the soap. WELL, I've never been able to get all the color pieces to melt! I end up with minuscule specs I'm trying to fish out of the soap before it all turns back into a solid. Very frustrating!
I finally got the idea to put the cut up color pieces in the soap BEFORE I melted it. Voila! Problem solved. When the soap was melted, so was the color. I wonder why the instructions aren't written THIS way?
Did you have this problem too? What solution did you find?
